Women Who Move Hampton Roads celebrates the unstoppable women shaping our community — from visionary real estate leaders and nonprofit executives to tireless advocates for housing stability and family resilience.

Founded by Sherri Parsons, this platform spotlights one extraordinary woman each week, amplifying stories of impact that inspire collaboration and elevate Hampton Roads as a hub of empowered leadership.

Sherri Parsons is a foreclosure prevention specialist, real estate agent, and executive director of a nonprofit dedicated to helping sellers facing financial hardship. Married with three children and a granddaughter, she balances high-stakes business consulting with a personal mission to guide families through credit repair, short sales, and homeownership recovery. Living with combined ADHD and LAM (a rare lung disease), Sherri embodies resilience, leveraging her expertise to bridge gaps in the foreclosure market while building tools like servicer databases for smarter loss mitigation.

As an Atlanta, Georgia native deeply rooted in the Hampton Roads region, Sherri saw a need to connect women leaders across sectors. Drawing from her REIN affiliation and work with military buyers on VA loans, she created this series to foster reciprocity — featured women nominate others, creating a virtuous cycle of visibility. Whether you're a wholesaler closing deals, a nonprofit innovator scaling impact, or a community advocate tackling barriers, Women Who Move Hampton Roads positions you as the connector others seek.

Our goal: 50+ spotlights in year one, live Spotlight Nights, and partnerships with groups like YWCA Women of Distinction. Join by nominating, attending events, or sharing your story. Together, we're not just moving Hampton Roads — we're defining its future.
